Paper doilies, made to place between desert plate and sherbet cup or under pastries are great for paper crafts. They are usually white, but can also be found in metallic red (Valentine’s Day), green (St. Patrick’s Day), gold and silver. Usually round, they are also found in heart and shamrock shapes.  There may well be black doilies for 40/50/60 birthday parties.

The whole doily can be used in your project, or a shape cut from the doily. You can also cut the lacy part around the edges of the doily and use that for your paper craft.

Made of fairly light paper, you can fold the doily to hide the plain center and make the lacy edge 3 dimensional. This can add dimension to a normally flat project. Slightly damp and you can probably make a doily conform to surfaces with gentle curves. Then glue in place before it dries. Add a frilly ruffle to your papier mache duck or other animal.  Experiment and see what you can get a doily to do.

Check the cake making section of your local craft stores and grocery stores for doilies. A little effort should produce a number of sizes and shapes for your project stores.

You have a great looking site. I have read a lot of these posts and they have come in use. I have visited many blogs and it seems like most of the information sounds generic or is copied from other site and I can’t ever get useful information or information that is even worth the time that I spend reading it. I myself run several blogs and forums. Most of my blogs pertain to animals,to be more specific, dogs. I have checked out your site and absolutely love it. I would like for you to visit some of my blogs. I know that you probably don’t want me posting all my links here and I do not want you to feel like I am spamming you so therefore I will not leave a bunch of links. However, if it is okay with you, I would like to post a link to one of my most successful sites. The main component of my site is vbulletin forums. I also have a blog on this site along with a function that allow members to enter their dog’s pedigrees. The pedigrees show up in a four generation site where every dog name is a link to that dog’s four generation pedigree. I would really like for you to check out my site and let me know your thoughts on it and ideas or suggestions for improvement. I am especially interested inyour input on my blog because this seems to be your specialty. My site URL is http://www.PetPedigreeDatabase.com/

Paper crafts had been very popular for some time now. Most children begin doing paper crafts in class. The professors usually start the kid out with very easy paper crafting projects. This normally involves giving the kid several color options and also many styles of building paper to work with. Most professors usually give the kid various tips to start with, but every child is actually encouraged to show their imagination on their own crafting paper project. This kind of disciplines and crafts can even be extremely stimulating for adults. Some, utilize the paper crafting materials for decorations, by putting all of them in a gift container or even utilizing them as gift wrap. While some use them for an American preferred pastime called scrapbook.

In my experience, the best scrapbook supplies are found around the house or at general stores, such as dollar stores. Many of these type of stores offer great deals to shoppers if you just seek them out. I found some very nice green scrapbooking paper the other day at the local Family Dollar. Search for everyday items that you can add to your scrapbook. Around the house, I try to use items that are personal to me. This really adds a nice touch to a scrapbook
